What's Funny? Workshop

Workshop Description: In this workshop, we’ll delve into what is actually funny about your scene, how to recognize it, and use it to keep going. In improv, you often hear “don’t worry about being funny.” And while you shouldn’t force the fun, we all wanna have scenes we laugh at. This workshop will help you naturally find what’s fun about your scene and control it so an audience is on the edge of their seat.

About the Instructor: Matt has been an improviser for over 8 years now. He has trained with and performed at world famous improv comedy institutions Second City, iO Theater, The People’s Improv Theater, Philly Improv Theater, CSz Philly, and The Upright Citizens Brigade. In addition, he is currently a long form improv house team member at ComedySportz Philly in “Don’t I Know You” and is a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade’s Diversity Scholarship Program. He also currently teaches improv and sketch comedy at UnScripted Productions, where he has been teaching for the past four years.
